A Message from the Oxnard City Council

Anti-Graffiti
Oxnard Police Dept.

The Graffiti Task Force was formed in 2005 by the Oxnard City Council to create a comprehensive plan to address graffiti in a coordinated, citywide effort through prevention, intervention and enforcement. It has been proven that public education and Community involvement have a direct impact on reducing graffiti within a Community.

The City Council has made a personal commitment to make a difference in graffiti abatement citywide. The City Council appointed Mayor Thomas Holden as the Chairperson and Councilman Timothy Flynn as the Vice Chairperson of the City's Graffiti Task Force.

In addition, the Graffiti Task Force has joined forces with the District Attorney's Office and the Ventura Probation Agency to strengthen the prosecution process for individuals arrested for graffiti vandalism.

The City cannot succeed in its mission to eradicate graffiti without the support and participation of its residents.  Please join us by becoming a volunteer.
